Salary Rate: $66,345.24 SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY. SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The incumbent in this position is responsible for the development, implementation, coordination, monitoring, distribution, and evaluation of learning labs, and other technological resources provided by the Bureau of Education.

Develops and modifies current policies and procedures for learning labs and other technological resources.

Trains Bureau of Education staff and local staff on the use and maintenance of learning labs and other technology services.

Serves as the primary liaison between OIT on the local, regional, and state-level staff and the Bureau of Education.

Primary purchaser of technological resources for the implementation of Bureau of Education programming. Collaborates with the Bureau of Education Administration team to manage budgets and expenditures related to all technological resources.

Primary point of contact between the Bureau of Education and current/prospective technological resource vendors.

Conducts site evaluations to determine appropriate technology implementation in Florida's Correctional Facilities.

Leads in the ongoing evaluation of the effectiveness of the instructional technology program.

Adheres to and communicates copyright as well as other laws and guidelines pertaining to the distribution and ethical use of all resources.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Knowledge of principles and processes involved in business and organizational planning, coordination, and execution. This may include strategic planning, resource allocation, manpower modeling, leadership techniques, and production methods.

Knowledge of information technology environments and systems

Knowledge of instructional methods and training techniques including curriculum design principles, learning theory, group and individual teaching techniques, design of individual development plans, and test design principles.

operate a variety of equipment including computers, copiers, interactive whiteboards, tablet-based technologies, data projectors, and other current technology solutions.

Skill to effectively negotiate complex IT contracts.

Experience with budget planning, preparation techniques, methods of reviewing and analyzing financial data, and developing/recommending budgetary revisions.

Skills in communicating effectively with others in writing as indicated by the needs of the audience.

Skills in talking to others to effectively convey information.

Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.

Knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis.

Knowledge of basic management principles and practices.

Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document workflow and other activities relating to the improvement of operational and management practices.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Licensure/registration/certification requirements (If applicable, list the appropriate Florida Statute or federal regulation cite):

Must possess two (2) years of experience incomputer system analysis, computer programming or in planning or designing distribute computer systems, or equivalent experience. Demonstrated proficiency in these areas should be evident in the application, education, work experience, work samples, interview, and/or during reference checks.

Demonstration of knowledge, skills, and abilities documented on position description as demonstrated by education, work experience and/or work sample and interview.
