The Work You Will Do: The Office of Resilience and Coastal Protection implements state and federal regulation to protect the natural resources, springs, estuaries and beaches for future generations as they are today. The Coastal Management side of the office includes the state-wide Coastal Management Program and managed areas. The incumbent will be part of a team within the Coastal Management Program maintaining the Coastal Access Guide, supporting regional meetings, participating in marine debris initiatives. Pay:
$22/hr., up to 40 hours a week
Your Specific Responsibilities:
This position will work across several different projects within the Florida Coastal Management Program (FCMP) as part of a team. T he position will review and update existing location and amenity information on public beach access points in the existing Florida Coastal Access guide through coordination with Department field staff, County Officials and the public. In addition, the position will support regional meeting planning and work on current and upcoming marine debris initiatives.
If time allows this position would assist with the improvement of inter- and intra-agency coordination, in all aspects of FCMP, and to promote the awareness of the FCMP. This position will also assist with other efforts to improve the performance in all FCMP programmatic activities, along with other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in writing, environmental science or one of the sciences or 3 years professional experience.
Must have a valid driver license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Florida’s Coastal Counties
Knowledge of coastal management principles
Knowledge of marine debris removal and reduction strategies
