About the Role
George Speers Masonry is seeking a skilled and dedicated Masonry Foreman to lead project crews and deliver exceptional craftsmanship on commercial and residential projects across Florida and the Southeast. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a deep understanding of masonry trades and the ability to drive productivity, ensure quality, and foster a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of masonry crews (brick, block, stone) on site.
Interpret blueprints, project plans, and schedules to manage workflow effectively.
Ensure adherence to project specifications, company quality standards, and safety protocols.
Lead by example — perform hands-on masonry work as needed.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and other trades for seamless execution.
Monitor job progress and proactively address issues to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
Track material usage, manage inventory, and support job site logistics.
Conduct daily safety talks and enforce site safety requirements.
Mentor and train crew members to build a high-performing team.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of masonry experience with 2+ years in a leadership/foreman role.
Mastery of masonry techniques: brick, block, stone, veneer, and restoration work.
Proven track record of managing crews and delivering projects on time.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and job site safety best practices.
Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
