We are seeking a General Manager to oversee the staff, budgets and operations of Duncan Roofs, a 105 year old, primarily residential reroofing contractor in St. Petersburg, Florida. We operate with three Production Managers that each supervise the work of two foreman. Each foreman has the responsibility of a crew of approximately 13. We expect each crew to replace the roof on one home in the mid and lower Pinellas County area, usually in one day.
Your responsibilities include working hand in hand with the retiring company owner to formulate overall strategy, manage our people and establish policies. To be successful in this role, you should be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker, helping our people develop and be productive, while ensuring our profits are on the rise. Our goal is not to be the largest roofing contractor in the area, but without question, the very best. We seek to employ the best and most talented crew members, to add our training to whatever they bring with them, to carefully supervise their work, to place them in an environment where they can improve themselves and shine.
You would have the total responsibility of the field and the office. You would work with the owner to groom his son for future management of the business.
Ultimately, you’ll help our company grow and thrive and you will be handsomely rewarded in the process with a base salary of $75,000 and a very liberal profit sharing, there is no “top”.
