RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in search of an IT Network Engineer in Tampa, FL.
Summary:
The IT Technical Administration Network Engineer demonstrates accomplished technical expertise. The candidate works independently to solve complex problems requiring judgment based on functional experience.
Duties:
Seeks opportunities to improve products and processes
Recognizes areas for improvement within the team, the process, technology, etc. and takes appropriate action to initiate the change
Actively promotes teamwork to achieve group goals
May participate in the decision-making process
Leads projects of limited scope in own discipline
Administers activities which impacts own team, or multiple teams within a medium to large office(s) or region/cluster
REQUIREMENTS:
Four-year degree in any Business/Technical area or equivalent experience is preferred and three plus years relevant work experience
Should have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role
Preferred to also have extensive background in PBX, voicemail and call center applications using voice over IP
A strong understanding of current and emerging convergence (VoIP) technologies
Experience in Avaya PBX's and Voice Mail
Previous medium to large project experience
Previous technical experience in a large corporate environment
Problem isolation and resolution in a voice network environment
Demonstrated technical abilities in troubleshooting
Must be comfortable with most aspects of networking administration, performing overall network design validation, Checkpoint Firewall Environment, Cisco Router Product Line, Cisco Switch Product Line, Internet Networking technologies, Avaya PBX System, Cisco VOIP solution, DNS based on BIND Version 9, Cisco VOIP solution, fundamental client/server/distributed networking computing environment concepts in a TCP/IP based LAN/WAN network infrastructure, TCPIP protocol
