Description We are inviting applications for the role of a Staff Accountant in Tampa, Florida. This role will involve a blend of operational accounting and month-end close tasks. You will be required to support Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, in addition to managing journal entries and other accounting activities.Responsibilities: Oversee month-end close processes with precision, ensuring all financial data is aligned and updated. Efficiently handle the inputting of journal entries into the accounting system, ensuring data accuracy. Support the Accounts Payable (AP) team by validating and processing invoices and payments. Assist the Accounts Receivable (AR) department by managing and reconciling customer accounts and payments. Perform bank reconciliations regularly to ensure financial records are accurate. Utilize accounting software like NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP to streamline accounting activities. Maintain the General Ledger, ensuring all financial data is correctly recorded and updated. Participate in both operational accounting tasks and month-end close work, maintaining a balance between the two. Ensure all accounting activities comply with financial regulations and standards. Continually evaluate current accounting practices, recommending and implementing improvements where necessary.This is a permanent position. Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential. Familiarity with bank reconciliations is required. Demonstrated expertise in handling General Ledger is highly desirable. Experience in making Journal Entries is a must. Familiarity with the Month End Close process. Proficiency in using NetSuite for accounting purposes is expected. Prior experience with Oracle is highly desirable. Knowledge and experience in using QuickBooks for accounting tasks. Familiarity with SAP for accounting and financial purposes.
