Looking for an experienced ranch hand for a full time position. This is 47 hours per week (Monday - Saturday) with 1.5 hour lunch break.
Requirements- HORSE EXPERIENCE; ability to recognize if horse is having a health issue, 100% reliable transportation and within 35 minutes of Odessa (Keystone). Must show up on time. This is a well managed farm with multiple barns- not looking to micro-manage, so need to be a self starter. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Hours are Monday - Saturday from 7:00 - 4:30 w/ long lunch hour.
Duties include detailed horse care, turning out/bringing in, hosing in summer, giving meds/supplements, feed, hay and water. Mucking and bedding the stalls. Additional requirements:
-Ability to lift 50 lbs.
-Care for 21 horses
-Maintaining pastures and lawn using tractor, bush hog and zero turn mower
-Fence repairs/handyman tasks
-Cleaning barns
-Communicating & working well with others
-Must speak english
