Our manufacturing facility specializes in custom trims, frames, and wood panels. We are seeking a full-time machine operator to assist in our shop. This position starts off as shop helper supporting the smooth operation of our shop, working closely with the team to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
We want this person we hire to grow into a machine operator to operate the Edge Bander machine and or CNC Machine, and have the ability to pull up programs on the CNC Machine. This is a hands-on position that requires physical stamina and attention to detail. Our ideal candidate is motivated and reliable.
Starting schedule: Monday-Friday 10-00am-6-00pm.
Once you are able to operate the machines independently, you will move to an earlier shift of 6:30am starts.
Responsibilities:
Assist with the daily operations of the shop.
Assist in feeding materials into the machine.
Catching materials as it comes out of the machine.
Pushing carts of materials throughout the facility.
Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Operation of band saw and edge bander, and CNC Machines.
Pull up programs or adjust programs.
Qualifications:
Must have previous manufacturing/woodworking or shop experience.
Must be eager and willing to learn new things.
Willingness to be crossed trained in all aspects of production.
Band saw and or edge bander experience is a plus!
Must have reliable transportation and ability to commit to the schedule.
Ability to pass pre-employment drug and background screening.
Ability to stand, bend down, push, pull, twist, and lift product weighting up to 70lbs, throughout your shift without limitations.
Compensation: Starts at $18.00/hr with amazing benefits offered after probationary period. We offer WEEKLY PAY!
Expected hours: 40 per week
