Job Summary:
The Plumbing Technician will install, repair and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in residential and commercial structures.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Ability to understand and perform all plumbing repairs and services ensuring they comply with local rules and regulations.
Ability to complete paperwork, collect payments and effectively communicate.
Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade.
Ability to complete various plumbing tasks, i.e., solder, climb a ladder, lifting, utilize sewer machines, dig, work in tight spaces, work indoors/outdoors, and in inclement weather.
Ability to complete projects unsupervised and unassisted, all while being accomplished in a safe and efficient manner.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills, a must.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to understand residential/commercial plumbing issues and codes while performing the job at hand.
Must be available for on call rotation.
Education and Experience
One to three years of experience in a plumbing role.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Able to pass a drug test.
Physical Requirements:
Bending and squatting.
Work in confined spaces.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
