Scope:
– Performs quality inspection checks in accordance with approved drawings, analyzes and documents manufacturing test procedures and contract requirements. Routinely uses Keyence, CMM and hand measurement tools. Maintains Manufacturing process and Quality records.
Education Level Required:
– Technical Diploma in machining or inspection methods preferred, experienced candidates can also apply.
Skills/Training Required:
– 2-5 years’ experience with first piece inspection in an industrial environment.
– Knowledgeable of calibration and inspection tools, gauges and applicable quality standards
– Ability to read, understand and measure parts to blueprints and customer specifications, then document findings
– Thorough GD&T skills, knowledge on inspecting complicated machined parts or castings.
Responsibilities:
– Receive and inspect incoming material through final inspections.
– Inspect and approve First Pieces from machinists and suggest offsets as necessary.
– Create new inspection programs and final inspection through Keyence Equipment.
– Create and maintain documentation in database about process sheets and inspection reports.
– Knowledge in material handling and lot traceability and will provide training if needed.
– Maintain log of the scrap and assist in packing and shipping
– In-house calibrations and calibration schedule
– Support in management process improvement activities
