Premier Express is looking for a highly motivated dispatcher to start immediately with a Connecticut-based same-day rush courier company. We are a multi-state company with offices in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, and Florida.
This position will be stressful but manageable for someone who can handle solving problems, and the hours will not be suitable for everyone.
Specifically, we are looking for someone with flexibility hours; we are hiring for post-training hours for the following: (Monday-Friday hours vary from 7am-5pm).
Prior experience as a dispatcher is not required, as this is very teachable to the right candidate.
Candidates must be able to multitask and stay cool under pressure.
Things heat up and cool downand this must be adaptable and acceptable to the candidate.
Must have clear English-speaking ability.
Computer skills are necessaryfamiliarity with MS Word, MS EXCEL, and MS ACCESS is a plus.
Though this is not a sales job, you will work with people and assign jobs to couriers with varying personalities. Dispatchers will have to convince people to work when we are extremely busy.
We need people who care about their work as much as they care about a decent paycheck.
