Overall, an Assistant Construction Maintenance Manager contributes to the smooth functioning of maintenance operations in a construction company by ensuring that equipment and facilities are well-maintained, operational, and in compliance with regulations and company policies. They play a crucial role in supporting construction projects and minimizing downtime through effective maintenance practices and strategic planning.
Responsibilities:
Help overseeing a team of maintenance technicians, this includes assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Planning and Scheduling Maintenance: Developing maintenance schedules, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring that preventive maintenance programs are implemented effectively to minimize downtime and prolong equipment lifespan.
Answering service phone calls / emails and troubleshooting any maintenance issues with customers
Invoice and Billing: Keeping documentation up to date for reference and compliance purposes.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in maintenance management or a related field
Strong construction knowledge including practices, procedures and techniques
Experience in Microsoft Office including Excel
Maintenance invoice / billing accounts receivable
Multitask with a neat and organized workspace
Ability to prioritize tasks, delegate effectively and work under pressure
