Finish GPS Dozer Operator
Overview: We are looking for a skilled Finish Bulldozer Operator proficient in operating heavy machinery equipped with Trimble GPS technology. The ideal candidate will have experience in finish grading and leveling tasks, possess strong attention to detail, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
Operate bulldozers and other heavy equipment equipped with Trimble GPS technology to perform finish grading and leveling tasks according to project specifications.
Ensure precise and accurate grading to achieve desired surface smoothness and slope.
Interpret project plans, blueprints, and stakes to determine grading requirements.
Collaborate with surveyors, engineers, and ground crews to ensure accurate execution of grading tasks.
Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and perform routine maintenance as needed.
Maintain awareness of and comply with safety regulations and company policies.
Keep accurate records of daily activities, materials used, and equipment maintenance.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Bulldozer Operator, specifically in finish grading operations.
Certification or license to operate heavy machinery.
Proficiency in using Trimble GPS technology for grading and leveling tasks.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds or more.
Ability to read and interpret grading plans, blueprints, and survey stakes.
Strong understanding of earthmoving techniques, safety protocols, and equipment maintenance.
Physical stamina and manual dexterity to operate heavy equipment for extended periods.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or training is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in civil construction projects involving finish grading and site preparation.
Familiarity with Trimble GPS technology and related software applications.
Knowledge of local construction regulations and environmental guidelines.
