Overview: We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator proficient in operating heavy machinery equipped with Trimble GPS technology. The ideal candidate will have experience in earthmoving projects, possess strong attention to detail, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
Operate excavators and other heavy equipment equipped with Trimble GPS technology to perform earthmoving and excavation tasks according to project specifications.
Always ensure safety by adhering to company and regulatory standards.
Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and perform routine maintenance as needed.
Collaborate with ground crews and other operators to coordinate excavation activities.
Interpret project plans and blueprints to ensure accurate execution of tasks.
Maintain accurate records of daily activities and materials usage.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs when necessary.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an Excavator Operator, preferably with Trimble GPS technology.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting project plans and blueprints.
Strong understanding of excavation techniques, safety protocols, and equipment maintenance.
Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Physical stamina and manual dexterity to operate heavy equipment for extended periods.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or training is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in civil construction projects such as roadwork, utilities installation, or site development.
Familiarity with Trimble GPS technology and related software.
Knowledge of local construction regulations and environmental guidelines.
