Accounts Payable Specialist/Accounting Administrator Athens, GA Full Time Experienced Share (https://tidalbasin.applytojob.com/app/share/CsJ8Ks9ieS) Position Summary: MLU Services LLC is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist/Accounting Administrator specifically responsible for activities related to the accurate processing of approved invoices; and to perform administrative duties to support the corporate and field offices. Job Duties and Responsibilities include:
Processes payable information (invoices, utilities, purchase orders, etc.) for the purpose of updating and distributing information, authorizing for payment, and/or complying with financial policies and procedures.
Develops reporting procedures and internal controls for the purpose of maintaining accurate records.
Prepare payables status reports and facilitate payment of invoices
Reconcile A/P ensuring all invoices & payments are accounted for
Perform administrator duties & functions to support corporate accounting and field operations
Audit vendor files
Maintains financial information, files, and records (purchase orders, invoices, accounts payable reports, etc.)
Special projects as assigned, i.e., (file audits, etc.)
Skills and Competencies:
Understanding accounting principles
Proficient in relevant computer applications.
High degree of data entry accuracy, efficiency, and multi-tasking capability
Knowledge of customer service practices and principles.
Excellent data entry and typing skills.
Education and Experience:
Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration (preferred)
2 years’ experience preferred
Knowledge of accounting software as it pertains to accounts payable, preferred
Experience with Excel spreadsheets and accounting software
Professional communication skills both verbal & written
