Job Description: The Clinical Experiences and Licensing Manager coordinates and monitors the licensure process, which involves assisting students to submit licensure and endorsement applications to the Ohio Department of Education, working closely with the Patton College of Education ( PCOE ) Student Affairs office and the College of Health Sciences and Professions to check applicants’ academic history (coursework completed, grades, GPA , test scores, etc.), communicate with faculty and staff about state policy changes, monitor Ohio Assessment for Educator test scores, process out of state verification licensing forms, research BCI / FBI convictions, make presentations to professional interns, meet with students, and maintain licensing information on the college website. This position is also responsible for the collection of licensing data from a variety of stakeholders. This position develops data sets and works to track clear data reports for accreditation and for outside constituents that host our students.The Clinical Experiences and Licensing Manager handles placements for undergraduate and graduate teacher candidates, which involves identifying courses that need placements, identifying students for placement “fit”, working within developed protocols to contact school districts, requesting, confirming, and notifying faculty and students of placements and mentor teacher contact information. This position is responsible for the development of presentations for school partners to expand reach opportunities and enhance stakeholders “buy-in” and support. Additionally, this position oversees the input of placement data into the clinical placement data collection database through supervision of graduate students. Additionally, this position analyzes student placement data to report on student success for PCOE marketing purposes and retention for undergraduate students.This position handles both early field and professional internship placements for “out of area” internships for both undergraduate and graduate students. This involves working with licensure programs to identify students who need out of area clinical placements, contacting those school districts, and processing placements. This position is responsible for the development of data sets and works to track clear data reports for accreditation and for outside constituents that host our students.Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in education or closely related field. A minimum of 3 years related experience is required. Also, a minimum of 1 year management experience is required.
