As a member of the Office of Medical Education ( OME ), a Curriculum Manager will complete multiple, complex tasks on different deadlines, typically requiring significant cross-training and education/experience and will demonstrate the flexibility to effectively step into ongoing processes to provide unit coverage and timely task completion. This position works closely with a team to process and technically manage course and curricular scheduling across the four-year program for medical school curriculum (160 courses and more than 150 internal and clinically-affiliated faculty). The Curriculum Manager works closely with other OME team members, including supervising others in OME in their work, HCOM staff, faculty and students in a team-oriented, mission-focused and inclusive manner to ensure appropriate curricular delivery.Primary AccountabilitiesCurriculum Process and Resource Delivery:Manages curricular processes and resource delivery ensuring the accreditation standards are met for Ohio University and the Heritage College by performing the following primary accountabilities:

Develops documentation for education program ( UCC ) and course ( ICC ) review and approvals including credit hour calculations for all course/clinical electives (160 course/clinical electives); ensures Registration and Registrar related processes are appropriately completed for HCOM , including collaborating with university staff in these offices; manages Curriculum Committee documentation, task tracking and compliance; manages accreditation requirements{( COCA ) and Higher Learning Commission ( HLC ) for Ohio University related to curriculum with college}; plans, develops and implements medical student orientation program.

Develops and maintains student and faculty curricular resources by collecting, confirming and managing the technical resources for sessions in all courses in the LMS ; ensuring appropriate clinical experience resources are available to students for clinical experiences; developing processes for gathering, managing and releasing curricular resources that minimize errors and improve efficiency; and collaborates with faculty and medical students to enhance resource dissemination.

Creates and maintains complex curricular documentation related to medical student education experiences and learning activities at the Heritage College by creating and maintaining course syllabi; creating, planning, and implementing the curriculum catalog and other associated technical course materials; maintaining a master curriculum file including course tracking; generates reports based on assessment of curricular documents; and develops and maintains curricular resources and manuals for faculty, staff and students as the point of record for accreditation.

Manages course and curricular scheduling across the four-year academic curriculum which includes: managing the creation, updating, storage and retrieval of all scheduling materials throughout Years 1-4 for the DO curriculum program across the three campuses and statewide clinical rotation sites; maintaining current schedules in the existing college LMS including updates; preparing and distributing teaching draft/final requests to department chairs and faculty in advance of semester; student scheduling and learning activity sub-groupings within the curriculum as necessary; and compiling and reporting necessary information related to curricular content, faculty teaching and scheduling.

May supervise work of others in curricular operations.

Other Curriculum Support as Needed:

Communicates with faculty and students related to key curricular issues on behalf of the Office of Medical Education; reviews and edits curricular policies; oversees review, continuous quality improvement and facilitates novel process rollout; work with other units in college to ensure curricular success at HCOM including on college-wide committees; and other administrative roles in the curriculum as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree

3+ years of work related experience

1+ years of management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree

Offers outside of this range of subject to additional approvals.
