Charlene is an elderly woman living in a rural area just North of Gainesville, GA. She knows her own mind and even in her 90's has a very positive outlook. She is sharp as a tack and would be a delight to work for. She wants to hire two employees, A PERSONAL ASSISTANT and a CAREGIVER who will drive her and do light cooking and cleaning.
Both candidates should be mature, ideally age 40 to 60, live in or near Gainesville GA, and have ties to the local community. Both employees will work in Charlene's home and should be willing to social distance while on the job. They should have some college, with a degree preferred. Both employees should be licensed drivers with their own, fully insured cars, and be willing to drive Charlene to town. She will reimburse mileage at 50 cents per mile.
The PERSONAL ASSISTANT should have enough life experience to help Charlene find and hire the second employee, described briefly as follows:
The CAREGIVER job duties will also include driving Charlene to town in the Caregiver's car as needed, shopping, light cleaning, companionship, and some cooking. The ideal candidate for this job would have some training in taking care of elderly people if Charlene ever needs it; at some point this may include helping her dress and undress, or bathe. It should be noted that she is very independent, and says she does not need that right now.
First Charlene needs the PERSONAL ASSISTANT job filled, but interviews for both positions can be held at the same time.

Initially, Charlene needs help finding and hiring the Caregiver, and help paying them every week once they are hired. Job duties also include helping Charlene pay her other bills, too, and better organizing her life. Patience is required; she may not want to move as fast as you do. Go at her speed, and always be loving and kind.
She will also need occasional rides into town, and require her personal assistant to have a car with full insurance to drive her. She will reimburse mileage of 50 cents per mile. She will need rides to doctor appointments (and help scheduling the appointments in the first place). She will additionally need occasional rides to her bank, and support shopping for groceries until a second employee can be hired.
Ideally, the employee will bring their own laptop with Quicken on it, and help Charlene pay her bills using it. The job will require helping keep her bank balance updated as you pay her bills. Charlene will likely prefer to be old fashioned, and sign her own paper checks and mail them. She has run a business in the past and had secretaries working under her, and old fashioned bill paying will be more familiar terrain for her. She will need a ride to her bank to order new checks.
She may also like to buy a home in the neighborhood or more likely, move into a small home she owns there. Job duties will include helping her move from her present location.
Initially, Charlene is offering employment for 4 to 8 hours per day, 5 days per week. Later, as you get her organized and the CAREGIVER is hired, the hours will eventually be reduced to an as-needed basis, perhaps one or two days per week.
Her good friend Patrick will respond to applicants for an initial interview by phone. He will select candidates for her to interview, and set up an in-person interview with Charlene.
