Tom Dick and Hank in downtown Atlanta is in need of an experienced Hourly Shift Leader to join our management team. This is an hourly position with great growth potential for the right person to become an Assistant or General Manager. The right candidate should be able to fill the following duties and expectations:

JOB SUMMARY

Shift Leads are responsible for supporting the General and Assistant Managers in their absence. They are responsible for the supporting restaurant operations are within the standard TDH guidelines. Shift Leads manage the restaurant team members in delivering the TDH guest experience.

Performs all duties assigned in accordance with all applicable legal regulations and requirements, presenting oneself as an asset to Tom, Dick & Hank and encouraging others to do the same.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES

Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other team members to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate, which will be conducive to maximum morale

Provides a favorable image of the business at all times.

Indirectly supervise 15-20 FOH/BOH employees

Knows and complies consistently with our standards, quality standards and house rules, policies and procedures.

Maintains detailed knowledge of all menu items.

Models high standard performance and behaviors

Must possess cross-functional skills

Supervise the floor during meal periods to ensure that all TDH standards and steps of service are met throughout all guest interactions.

Ensuring that checklists, requisitions and proper opening and closing functions are being completed each shift.

Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear direction to the staff.

Observe performance and coach improvement where necessary.

Ensure staffing levels for all outlets are accurate based on business levels.

Organize and conduct pre-shift and departmental meetings communicating pertinent information to the team members, such as party reservations and menu changes.

Communicate with guests and team members using a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate actions and provide accurate information.

Remain calm and alert, especially during emergency situation and/or heavy restaurant activity, serving as a role model for the team members and other employees.

Ensure basic standard operating procedures are in place and are in compliance with Federal, state, local and Tom, Dick & Hanks own practices. (e.g. ServSafe, Responsible Vendor)

Ensuring that all steps of services as outlines in training materials are being followed on a daily basis.

Interact positively with customers. Resolve problems to the satisfaction of involved parties.

Answer telephones in a clear voice, coordinate and document reservations. Organize special events in the restaurant such as parties.

Maintain positive rapport with all and attend relevant meetings.

Move throughout the facility and kitchen areas to visually monitor and take action to ensure food quality and service standards are met. Verify temperatures, judge appearance and taste of products and check preparation methods to determine quality. Give guidance toward improvement and make necessary adjustments for consistency.

Utilize computer to accurately charge customers, create forecast and revenue reports and write correspondence.

Input and retrieve data and change computer procedures using complex series of keypunches to program system.

Ensure that all standards and cash handling procedures are met.

Maintain cleanliness of all outlets on a daily basis.

Solicit feedback from guests concerning the service and food & beverage offerings in all outlets.

Work closely with the general manager and kitchen manager in weekly inventory and quarterly supply inventory management.

Ensure all daily and monthly reports are detailed and submitted in a timely matter.

Assist the general manager with marketing and Social Media to ensure that all promotions and collateral updates (including social media and website information and menu updates) are done in a timely matter.

Assist the general manager in planning and setting up special events and parties.

Ensures all equipment is in working order and properly cared for.

Oversees each department and helps where needed.

Willing to work overtime and weekends as requested by the business.

QUALIFICATIONS

A minimum of 5 years of experience in varied restaurant positions.

At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role

Demonstrated ability to positively lead culture and performance

Demonstrated ability to execute against business plans

Must be ServSafe certified.

Strong leadership skills.

Possess strong organizational and decision-making skills.

Ability to coordinate multiple tasks while maintaining required standards of operation in daily restaurant activities.

Ability to determine applicability of experience and qualifications of job applicants.

Work well in fast-paced setting.

At least 6 months experience in a similar capacity.

Proficient with computers and latest technology (word, excel, communication resources)

Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively.

Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.

Must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits.

Must possess a valid drivers license.

Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Must agree to background and credit check.
