Duties include:
Food Preparation: Chopping, slicing, and prepping ingredients according to recipes and specifications.
Cooking: Preparing dishes according to the menu, often working on a specific station (grill, sauté, fry, etc.).
Plating: Ensuring dishes are presented attractively before serving.
Maintaining Cleanliness: Keeping workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment clean and organized.
Stock Management: Monitoring ingredient supplies and reporting needs to the kitchen manager.
Following Recipes: Adhering to portion sizes and cooking techniques to ensure consistency.
Collaboration: Working closely with other kitchen staff and communicating effectively during service.
Quality Control: Tasting dishes to ensure flavor and quality meet restaurant standards.
Adhering to Safety Standards: Following food safety and sanitation protocols to prevent contamination.
Flexibility: Adapting to changes in the menu or special requests from customers.
