JOB OVERVIEW:
The Production Manager is responsible for leading our production team and overseeing the day-to-day activities within our production area. The Production Manager will be directly responsible for all employees that work on the production lines, including the hiring, training, and evaluations of those employees. They will train and motivate their staff to ensure we achieve our production goals hourly and daily, while also maintaining a high level of quality. The Production Manager will work closely with the Production Planner, to ensure we maximize each of our production lines while meeting the required completion dates for each work order. The Production Manager is responsible for the timely completion of work orders, the reporting of the raw materials consumed and ensuring the production team completes and submits all of the necessary documents and paperwork after the completion of each work order. They will also be responsible for monitoring our yield, continuously look to reduce scrap, and ensure each member of the team is following all of the safety and required levels of standard. We want to develop a strong team that works safely and efficiently, led by our Production Manager.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Help to hire, train, and evaluate the production staff.
Build a positive and safe work environment, utilizing clear communication, feedback and teamwork while emphasizing quality & safety.
Ensure the production lines is aware and achieving their hourly and daily target goals (UPM – Units per minute).
Manage all of the documents and paperwork needed to process a work order, consume the raw materials, and ensure we maintain a high level of inventory integrity.
Help to accurately report and maintain the company inventory of both raw goods and finished products.
Help to monitor and reduce the labor costs for production through any means necessary.
Work with our product development team to create samples and new product offerings.
Ensure the proper use of all machinery and equipment. The equipment and machinery must be kept clean and follow the recommended maintenance schedule as dictated by the machinery manufacturer.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Firsthand experience in leading a team of workers in either production or fulfillment.
3+ years of management/supervisory experience in similar role.
A keen sense of responsibility, meeting deadlines, and timely follow-up.
Proficient in MS Office365 and have good computer skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Possess skills to train a team of inexperienced workers.
Initiative-taking with the ability to work in fast pace, team environment.
Ability to manage comprehensive documents and processes in a timely manner.
Be able to lift 25-35 pounds.
Must pass background check.
EDUCATION:
College degree and or equivalent experience preferred.
