About the Opportunity
Red Hat Painting is seeking a motivated Paint Sales Representative to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with strong people skills, a passion for home improvement, and a drive to build lasting relationships. You’ll serve as the first point of contact for our clients — advising them on their painting needs, preparing estimates, and helping them transform their homes and businesses.
We provide full training on our professional estimating system and sales process. This is a commission-only position with 10% earnings on all projects sold. Top performers have the opportunity to grow into leadership or production management roles.
Key Responsibilities
Advise Clients: Meet with homeowners and business owners to understand their needs, discuss colors, finishes, and services, and recommend the best solutions.
Prepare Estimates: Measure projects accurately and prepare detailed, professional estimates through our quoting software.
Sell Projects: Confidently present proposals, explain the value of our services, and close deals.
Project Handoff: Prepare clients and job details for a smooth transition to our Production Team.
Follow Up: Maintain communication with leads, answer questions, and ensure an exceptional client experience from start to finish.
Business Development: Network with realtors, property managers, and local business groups to build a personal sales pipeline.
Represent Red Hat Painting: Uphold company professionalism, reliability, and service quality in every customer interaction.
Qualifications
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Professional, organized, and self-motivated
Sales or estimating experience in painting, construction, or home improvement (preferred but not required — training provided)
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
Basic computer skills (experience with Jobber or CRM software a plus)
Ability to manage your own schedule and follow up with clients promptly
