Capital Procurement Analyst/BuyerMinimal relocation assistance may be offered for the right candidateAugusta, GeorgiaMy client, located in Augusta, GA., is looking for a talented Capital Procurement Analyst/Buyer to join their team. This position reports to the Director of Procurement and provides analysis and sourcing of Capital Equipment for multiple Manufacturing facilities across the country.The Capital Procurement Analyst/Buyer will work under the direction of the Director - Procurement and be responsible for the sourcing for capital projects at multiple Manufacturing facilities. This role will support the development of a sourcing strategy, RFQ / RFI requirements, analysis of bids, negotiation of contract terms and pricing, the execution of the budget and ensure capital purchases are delivered per schedule to ensure project completion.KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Capital sourcing environment with a successful track record in developing and executing supplier or customer strategies and programs involving supplier partnerships.

Solid knowledge of tooling and manufacturing equipment

Experience with the procurement of Capital Equipment for Manufacturing project (expansions, renovations, maintenance/repairs, etc.)

Demonstrated ability working cross-functionally .

Experience in developing mutual relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders

Ability to effectively execute business needs while matching innovative solutions to meet those needs

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

Execute a capital equipment sourcing strategy and defined strategic sourcing processes.

Demonstrate a good understanding of TCO (total cost of ownership) and various processes applicable to drive cost reductions.

Attend reviews with Global teams to ensure projects employ strategic approved vendors to implement Supplier compression objectives.

Develop and maintain relationships with plant based engineering groups.

Coordinate with key suppliers / plants to ensure plant specific requirements are met.

Execute defined strategic sourcing process (contract negotiations, supplier development, and implementation) for category.

Drive utilization of tools and techniques that align to standardized processes.

Review, execute, and manage category supplier contracts and agreements.

Focus on strategic suppliers / partners to drive ongoing cost reductions.

Act as a liaison between suppliers and involved departments to resolve Procurement related problems.

Monitor Supplier performance by ensuring product is delivered as scheduled and meets specifications. Maintain appropriate files to ensure suppliers are aware of their performance.

Support continuous improvement in spend and demand management processes

Travel 25 - 50% (Domestic)

Ability to work with relevant functions across the organization.

Ability to lead, manage, and deliver multiple concurrent projects, influence others.

Strong interpersonal and communications skills, written and verbal.

Established negotiation skills required.

Self-Starter with the ability to work independently.

Strong analytical and quantitative skills.

Strong Time Management Skills.

Systems experience within an SAP environment preferred.

PC literate including MS Office suite of standard programs.

Willingness to travel as required to support manufacturing capital projects.
