Position DescriptionProvides administrative, day to day operation and technical management of the Pathology Services LIS section. Accountable for periodic audits and testing of the LIS System. Aids Information Service department with troubleshooting and validating proper operation of the LIS applications. Coordinates downtime procedures with the section supervisors and supervises downtime recovery. Works with clinical staff to identify the functional capabilities of the specialized software applications, investigates causes of system malfunctions, troubleshoots source of errors.Position RequirementsBachelors Degree: Medical Lab Science or lab related field and 3 years or more of experience in general laboratory experience. Appropriate education requirements as defined by GA Rule 290-9-8 for clinical laboratory technologist. Extensive organizational skills. Basic computer knowledge. Specialty Certification in any laboratory discipline.Preferred RequirementsMasters Degree.
