The ideal candidate will have a proven track record implementing robust data processes in an agile environment.The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer describes the tools, technologies, applications and practices used to collect, integrate, analyze, and present an organization's raw data in order to create insightful and actionable business information. Begins to influence department’s strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.Use your skills to make an impactKey Responsibilities:
Operational Reporting: Oversee the medical and prescription claims processes, including quality, audits, and reporting. Manage lifecycle updates to the process to incorporate new payers and data feeds.
Data Operations: Ensure the ingestion, categorization, and availability of thousands of distinct data files from multiple payers into our data lake.
Process Improvement: Establish robust processes for change notifications, document all artifacts, and create a scalable membership model that allows for data flexibility & automation under the supervision of the Business Intelligence Lead
Issue Resolution: Triage production support issues and become a subject matter expert for all membership data.
Stakeholder Management: Mentor team members, both direct and third-party stakeholders, to ensure efficient and effective team performance and understanding of the membership process.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum of three years experience in data operations, modeling, or reporting
Proficiency in cloud-based SQL Environments (BigQuery, Snowflake or RedShift), SQL, and at least one object-oriented language
Experience with continuous integration & delivery (Azure DevOps, JIRA, etc.), GIT, and business intelligence reporting system
Good working knowledge of different data file types and an understanding of SCRUM/Agile methodologies
Experience analyzing data, research/analytics, and competitive intelligence to solve a wide variety of business problems and/or identify actionable opportunities
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Proficiency in verbal and written communication to senior and executive leadership
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience with at least 1 non-SQL database, master data management and taxonomic classification of data
Experience in healthcare data operations
Prior experience with data visualization tools (Power BI highly preferred)
Python, Java, Scala, or Groovy preferred
Snowflake experience preferred
