DescriptionLeidos is seeking a Civil Engineer to join the National Airspace System Integration Support Contract (NISC IV) team.In this role you will support the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Eastern Service Area (ESA) supporting the implementation of critical power systems in air traffic control facilities.This position is located in College Park, GAUp to 25% travelCivil Engineer Primary Responsibilities:
Analyze schedules using a project planning program to set timelines for Project Risk Plans (PRPs).
Verify inclusion of all necessary stakeholders in the PRP team.
Prepare PRP scope statement and gather relevant project information for risk planning.
Develop preliminary risk and mitigation plans based on similar projects.
Coordinate PRP review meetings to refine risk and mitigation plans.
Perform site surveys, prepare construction drawings, support construction activities, and manage project schedules and reporting.
Civil Engineer Basic Qualifications:
Civil Engineering degree from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
Four years of experience in design and construction of commercial or institutional facilities. Or a Masters degree and 2 years of relevant experience.
Current and relevant knowledge of building codes.
Experience using Microsoft Office suite
Ability to obtain and maintain public trust suitability
Civil Engineer Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to create and edit project drawings in AutoCAD.
Understanding of the National Airspace System components within an air route traffic control center (ARTCC)
