Link Solutions is seeking a Cable Splicer Outside Plant (OSP) to join our team at Fort Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield, GAMust be a U.S. Citizen  Requires a DoD Secret Clearance Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.Non-remote (relocation incentive available) The Cable Splicer (OSP) will play a critical role in supporting and maintaining the telecommunications infrastructure serving the Southeast Region Cyber Support Center (SE RCSC). In this position, you will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair fiber optic, copper, and coaxial cable systems that enable secure voice and data communications for mission-essential operations.This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse communications network supporting Department of Defense initiatives while utilizing advanced telecommunications technologies and industry-leading practices. The ideal candidate is a hands-on telecommunications professional who enjoys solving technical challenges, working outdoors, and contributing to systems that support national defense missions.At Link Solutions, we are committed to providing a collaborative work environment, professional growth opportunities, competitive benefits, and a strong focus on employee well-being and work-life balance.Job Responsibilities: Install, splice, terminate, test, troubleshoot, and repair fiber optic, copper, and coaxial cable systems supporting telecommunications infrastructure.Perform routine preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance activities to ensure optimal network performance and reliability.Locate, diagnose, and resolve cable faults, service interruptions, and connectivity issues.Install, maintain, and repair aerial, underground, and direct-buried communication cable systems.Perform fusion and mechanical fiber splicing and conduct testing using OTDRs, power meters, and other telecommunications test equipment.Read, interpret, and update cable records, engineering drawings, schematics, splice diagrams, and as-built documentation.Conduct cable audits and infrastructure inspections of manholes, handholes, pedestals, telecommunications closets, MDFs, IDFs, and outside plant facilities.Maintain telephone poles, conduit systems, manholes, handholes, and outside plant distribution equipment.Support cable route planning, cable placement, and infrastructure upgrades to improve network performance and capacity.Collaborate with government customers to identify operational requirements and recommend telecommunications infrastructure improvements.Respond to service requests and ensure assigned work orders and trouble tickets are completed accurately and within established timelines.Ensure compliance with BICSI standards, OSHA regulations, DoD requirements, and industry best practices.Maintain accurate work documentation, inspection records, cable inventories, and project status reports.Support telecommunications modernization efforts and infrastructure expansion projects.Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.Compensation:$29.42 per hourFull-Time (Monday-Friday)This position is covered by the Service Contract Act (SCA).
