Assisting, supporting and instructing individuals in self-help skills designed to encourage independence.
Establishing and maintaining a therapeutic rapport with individuals.
We are seeking a Program Supervisor to oversee operations in our NEW Emerging Young Adult Transition Program, dedicated to our male, IDD clients, ages 18 - 21. Program Supervisors oversee, support, supervise and act as a resource to direct support staff and individuals served. Administrative tasks are also required as needed.Hours for Evening/2nd shift: Typically 2:30pm to 11:00pm. Devereux fosters a culture of reporting abuse and will cooperate with the authorities to the fullest extent possible.#sponsoredQualificationsEDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in the field of counseling, mental health, social work, psychology/sociology, rehabilitation, special education, or human services field preferred; OR Some college education w/60 college credits in human services preferred.EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of supervisory experience preferred (degree); or four (4) years of supervisory experience in a mental health related discipline required (non-degree); Direct care experience with the I/DD (intellectual/developmental disabilities) population, specifically children and adolescents preferred.Other qualifications:
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; leadership, relationship management, and multi-tasking skills are required.
Strong technical skills and ability to utilize in-house computer applications.
Have a strong passion for working with and helping children living with emotional and behavioral differences.
Valid Driver's License and Satisfactory Drug Screen and Background Check results.
On-call, weekend availability and some holidays required.
Must be able to complete a two-week, paid new hire orientation class; hours are approximately 8:30am to 5:30pm daily.
