job descriptionProduction SupervisorPermanent position: A Production Supervisor (Fiber Superintendent) is needed for a large paper mill near Macon, GA. The Fiber Superintendent is responsible for overseeing safe and reliable operations of the equipment found in the fiber production part of the plant. Qualified candidates must have 5+ years' of supervisory experience within a paper mill. A BS in Engineering and experience with batch pulp digestors is highly preferred. Relocation assistance is available.Responsibilities for the Production Supervisor
Provides leadership to all aspects of the fiber operation/ production; Machines include batch digesters chemi-washer lines, lime kilns and recaust equipment
Ensure environmental compliance for the fiber, caustic, and recycle areas
Manage fiber, chemical, labor, and MRO budgets
Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives to ensure quality and quantity from the fiber production area
Requirements for the Production Supervisor
5+ years' of supervisory experience within a paper mill
BS in Engineering desired; strong related experience will also be considered
Experience with batch pulp digestors is highly preferred
