Finishing Operator - Production & Quality Focus (2 PM - 10 PM)We're seeking a dedicated and versatile Finishing Operator to join our team for the 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM shift. This is a critical role that supports the final stages of our product lifecycle, ensuring high-quality output and efficient operations.As a Finishing Operator, you'll be involved in a range of essential functions, including:Packing & Quality Assurance: Meticulously inspect, sort, label, and package finished products to meet customer specifications and quality standards. You'll ensure products are accurately tracked for shipment.Core Preparation & Handling: Precisely cut 3" and 6" cores for slitter machines, ensuring accuracy and adequate quantity for production.Material Movement & Inventory: Operate forklifts to efficiently move materials between raw, work-in-progress, finishing, shipping, receiving, and manufacturing areas. You'll also assist with inventory accuracy through cycle counts and managing supplies.Machine Operation: Opportunity to operate a slitter machine, contributing to the finishing process.Operational Support: Keep work areas supplied with necessary packaging materials, assist in equipment maintenance, perform 5S duties, and actively participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives.We're looking for someone who is:Highly detail-oriented with a keen eye for quality.Capable of managing multiple tasks and orders simultaneously.Committed to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.A proactive team player with strong communication skills.Comfortable with physical demands of a manufacturing setting.
