DescriptionAre you looking for an temporary opportunity as a Full Charge Bookkeeper? Do you multi-task effectively and have strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills? You might be a good fit for Accountemps's Full Charge Bookkeeper position. This short-term temporary Full Charge Bookkeeper position is located in Savannah, Georgia. You will succeed in this position if you're confident you can establish and maintain the organization's accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives, as well as all general accounting and bookkeeping functions, including the preparation of financial statements.Your responsibilities in this role
Managing accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers
Handling monthly, quarterly and year end close, accurately and on time
Reconciling bank and general ledgers, and processing payroll
Putting together the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement
Retaining historical records through the accurate filing of documents
Tracking fixed assets and preparing depreciation schedules
Studying and implementing federal, state, and local legal requirements, filing reports, and communicating with management on needed actions
Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, including collections
Requirements
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
A thorough knowledge of accrual and cash basis of accounting
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
High school diploma or equivalent required, and AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of Monthly Reconciliation
General familiarity with Vendor Contacts
bi-Monthly Payroll experience
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
Foundational knowledge in QuickBooks
Accounts Payable (AP) experience
General ledger experience highly desired
Adeptness in Analyze Financial Statements
Aptitude for analyzing financial data and generating accurate reports in a timely manner
Be able to adapt and thrive in constantly changing environments
3+ years of relevant experience in bookkeeping
Proficiency with Excel and Peachtree
Payroll experience preferred
Be able to prioritize workload and perform in a fast-paced and challenging environment
