Performs scheduled assignments from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Protects confidential information and acts responsibly when it comes to private and personal property.

Proactively communicates with staff members, partners, and the general public.

Maintains accuracy of permit tracking database, tracking permits issued and inspections performed for several client offices.

Answers phone calls, responds to email, and greets office visitors.

Provides information and assistance; prepares correspondence and reports; and receives and files documents.

Works on special projects, which may involve researching and analyzing information; coordinating tasks; preparing forms and documents; maintaining records, indexes, and logs.

Assists other staff members with additional tasks as needed.

Compiles reports and documents as requested and on a monthly basis.

Stays current on any necessary, ongoing training opportunities, credentials, and certifications. Consistently studies codes and standards as related to work performance.

Requirements:We will consider any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this job.

Minimum education required: High school graduate or GED. An Associate's degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred (not required).

ICC Permit Technician certification is a plus, but not required.

Valid Georgia Driver's license.

Experience working as a permit technician or in a related role is preferred, but not required.

Experience working in an office setting in an administrative, operations, or bookkeeping capacity is also preferred.

General knowledge of the construction industry preferred.

Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to follow directions.

Ability to maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and conduct in any situation. Maintains a consistently positive attitude toward company and clients.

Self-disciplined and able to work independently without direct supervision.

Works well with a wide variety of people and is a strong teammate who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.

The starting wage range for this role commences at $17/hour, which is subject to potential increases that are contingent on factors like experience, education, licenses, or certifications.
