The National Tropical Botanical Garden is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a full-time Facilities Manager at our South Shore Gardens.
This position’s primary function is to provide and supervise maintenance and repairs for all South Shore Garden facilities, supporting infrastructure, fleet and equipment. Manages all building and maintenance projects within the South Shore Garden; responsible for infrastructure maintenance and improvements via staff and contractors (water, irrigation, structures, utility systems); oversees Safety program; and manages Risk/Loss Prevention. The successful candidate will demonstrate a wide range of skills, experience and resourcefulness; and is adept at developing creative solutions.
Education and/or Experience:
10+ years relevant work experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory capacity and demonstrated success with project management. Bachelor’s degree in relevant field may be substituted for up to 3 years of experience. Must have a valid Driver’s License; CDL a plus.
