Akamai Mothers & Mobility is a trusted provider of high-quality mobility and baby equipment, delivering wheelchairs, cribs, and other essential rentals to resorts and residences across Maui. Our mission is to provide seamless, reliable service to visitors and residents in Lahaina/Kaanapali and Kihei/Wailea. We’re looking for a detail-oriented, proactive manager to oversee inventory, deliveries, and customer satisfaction.
About the Role
As the Rental Equipment Manager & Delivery Specialist, you’ll play a key role in our operations, ensuring timely and professional deliveries while maintaining inventory accuracy and equipment quality. You’ll oversee logistics, team communication, and minor equipment maintenance—making a direct impact on our customer experience.
What We’re Looking For
Strong communication skills – ability to coordinate with customers and team members
Excellent time management – ensuring efficient deliveries and workflow
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills – troubleshooting issues as they arise
Basic mechanical ability – able to perform minor repairs on equipment
Physical capability – comfortable lifting and carrying up to 45 lbs as needed
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate a company-provided delivery vehicle
Ensure on-time, accurate deliveries to resorts and residences
Maintain organized inventory and accurate delivery documentation (photos, confirmations, etc.)
Perform minor maintenance on rental equipment as needed
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any issues
Communicate with the team to resolve delivery challenges efficiently
Provide friendly and professional customer service with every interaction
Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations
Requirements
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Previous delivery experience (preferred, but not required)
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to work daytime shifts, including weekends
Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated with a strong work ethic
