Kauai Z Tours are seeking the best snorkel guides and boat crew on Kauai to join our team. If you’ve ever wanted to combine your passion for the ocean and snorkeling with helping others learn how to properly snorkel, lead guided tours and be a part of an awesome team, we want to hear from you!
Snorkel guides need to be patient, dependable, good with kids and capable teaching/guiding in a fun, engaging and informative way. This is very much a hospitality job and first and foremost is to provide exceptional guest service to all of our guests.
We offer both Guided Shore Snorkel Tours and Zodiac Boat Snorkel Tours year round and Whale Watching Tours during Whale Season (November-March) We are hiring for full time positions to work 5 days a week with 2 guaranteed days off each week.

REQUIREMENTS:
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to legally work in the USA
Strong Swimming Skills
Current CPR/First Aid Certification and Lifesaving Skills (Or willing to get certified)
Knowledge of how to perform basic equipment repair and maintenance
BONUS if you:
Have 2+ years of guiding
PADI Divemaster or are scuba certified.
Lifeguard Experience or Certifications
EXPECTATIONS of Snorkel Guides:
Facilitate, teach and guide in groups of 6-8 from the shore and 10-12 from the Zodiac Boat.
Responsible to organize your guest's equipment prior to each tour and to properly clean and put away after each tour.
Have reliable method of transportation to make it ON TIME to work each day scheduled
Always keep an eye on your guests and other’s guests and/or swimmers in the water. Watch them to see if they are safe and staying out of trouble in the water. SAFETY FIRST!
Be outgoing (talkative), friendly, helpful and courteous to all students, colleagues and resort staff.
Maintain energy throughout the day so you can properly look after your guests.
HAVE FUN! Truly enjoy the experience and help capture memories for new friends while on vacation.
PAY:
Snorkel Guide / Boat Crew start at $22/hr. + Generous Gratuities
(Training period is $14/hr approximately 2 weeks)

DURATION:
We are a year round company and can provide hours year round. We do work on holidays. MUST be available to work June - September, December 15-January 15 (No time off requests during these times)
