Living Ocean is hiring full time snorkel guides / deck hands for our boat trips from Waikiki! ASAP!
We are looking for full time employees at this time. Full time ranges from 30 to 40 hours a week and comes with full benefits. The tips received are usually equal to the hourly pay. Hourly pay is negotiable based on your qualifications. We start at $18 an hour but if you have experience we can discuss a higher starting wage.
Responsibilities include welcoming guests aboard, assisting guests with their snorkeling equipment, pointing out marine life during snorkel trip, offering assistance to guests in the water / lifeguarding and cleaning up after the trip. One day a week will be dedicated to the admin side and will include answering phones and running errands.
We are only looking for happy people who are excited about working in a beautiful environment and sharing their happiness and enthusiasm with our guests. You must be able to work the tourism schedule which includes working summer, holidays and weekends. We are closed on Christmas Day and New Years Day but you must be available to work the rest of summer and December and January.
A love of the ocean and ability/confidence in the ocean is a must, please let us know your ocean hobbies and why you are passionate about the water.
Red Cross Lifeguard certification is required for the job. If you already hold this certification you will be considered first. If not, we will offer a class to all new employees after hiring, it is a 2 day class.
Requires pre-employment and random drug testing as required by the USCG for crew working in passenger vessels.
