Natural Bridges, an early learning school (ages 2.9 – 6 years) in Kilauea, seeks a special person who has the passion to help young children develop into caring confident individuals.
The teacher assistant works with and under the direction of the classroom teacher. Experience working with preschool children is a plus, but not required.
Some responsibilities and expectations are:
Able to supervise students while maintaining an environment of safety and security.
Able to use the positive guidance techniques that are established for the classroom.
Able to work cooperatively with the teachers and other staff in the implementation of the instructional program.
Have a willingness to understand the unique development of 2.9 – 6-year-old child.
Maintain classroom preparation and cleanliness.
Prepare the daily snack.
Qualified Applicants need:
High school diploma
Current resume with references
State requirements once hired:
To complete a fingerprinting and criminal background check through the Department of Human Services before working in the classroom. Apply for a PATCH Registry Certificate.
To complete yearly state required child development continuing education hours.
