Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Legal Administrative Assistant in Honolulu, Hawaii. This role is central to our operations in the legal industry where you will be expected to provide comprehensive support to attorneys and contribute to the efficient operation of our legal department. The ideal Legal Administrative Assistant candidate will perform a variety of tasks including legal research, drafting documents, managing case files, and communicating with clients and external parties.Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft various legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and other related documents. Manage, organize, and maintain case files and documents ensuring all paperwork is accurate and current. Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, court personnel, and other external parties to gather information and schedule appointments. Coordinate and schedule meetings, hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings. Prepare, manage, and file legal documents with courts, administrative agencies, and other relevant entities. Assist in trial preparation tasks such as organizing exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders. Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to the ethical standards of the legal profession. Provide administrative support to attorneys including managing calendars, answering phone calls, and handling correspondence. Stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and legal procedures relevant to the practice area. Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the efficient operation of the legal department.Requirements Possession of basic office skills including filing, scheduling, and documentation. Proficiency in drafting legal documents such as contracts, briefs, and pleadings preferred. Ability to manage and organize legal files effectively. Comprehensive understanding of legal terminology to facilitate effective communication helpful. Proficiency in Microsoft Word for document creation, editing, and management. Experience with legal documentation, including preparation and review. Demonstrated ability in conducting legal research using various resources. Solid legal knowledge gained from academic study or practical experience. Experience with Ediscovery including electronic data management, retrieval, and analysis.   • Summary This position is assigned to the Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) Community Programs (N922) Branch; Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Recreational Fleet and Family Readiness Support Services (N94); Commander, Navy Region Hawaii, at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam (JBPHH), Honolulu, HI. The purpose of this position is to provide customer service to patrons, sales of tickets, and perform a variety of duties in support of the Information, Tickets, and Travel program. Responsibilities Duties include, but are not limited to: Provide customer service, information and support of community recreation programs and activities. Provide services to MWR customers, which includes, but is not limited to checking ID cards to ensure authorized use of recreation facilities, resources and equipment, providing information about activities and program offerings, opening and closing facilities, ordering and restocking supplies, and preparing snack bar menu items or pre-packaged retail items. Collect fees from customers associated with sales of tickets, retail and rental items, as well as from classes, trips, and various other community recreation programs using Point of Sales (POS) and computer programs. Complete a Daily Activity Report (DAR) at the end of every shift and is accountable for the accuracy of daily sales transactions. Assists in processing customer Internet registrations (i.e. Net Near You), initial log-ins and event registrations. Checks Community Recreation equipment and resources in and out, collects any applicable rental fees, inventories items and completes inspections upon return. Notifies supervisor or program lead if damage or loss has occurred. Ensures all rental or checkout forms are properly completed and reservation and checkout procedures are followed. Conducts inventory for proper accountability of program equipment and resources. Inspects, maintains and performs upkeep maintenance and repairs on all equipment and resources. Assists in administering traditional and non-traditional workshops, clinics and events in a variety of leisure and recreation skills subject areas, in tune with offerings popular in the local area, including but not limited to camping, cycling, sailing, backpacking, canoeing, snow skiing, hiking and water sports. Provides recreation experiences related to leisure skill sets in the form of day and weekend trips. Assists in day-to-day administration of multiple programs to which assigned.
