RESPONSIBILITIESI. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES: Develops techniques used to standardize and calibrate imaging and therapy equipment. Recommends therapeutic and radiation safety procedures for patient care.II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Essential: seeing, hearing, speaking, finger dexterity, reaching below shoulder. Continuous: sitting. Frequent: standing, walking, stooping/bending. Operates word processing equipment, treatment planning computer workstation, radiation measurement equipment and other work related equipment.III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions. Maybe exposed to radiation.IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE: Master’s degree or doctorate in physics, medical physics, or related field. State of Hawaii license in Radiation Service or licensed under The Queen's Medical Center facility.B. EXPERIENCE: Four (4) years experience as a medical physicist in a Radiation Therapy or Diagnostic Imaging setting. Experience to demonstrate ability to plan Brachytherapy, Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) and Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT).
