Payment Technician

The EN Payments Team supports the Ticket to Work Program for the Social Security Administration (SSA) by properly compensating Employment Networks for their work with Ticket holders in the Ticket Program and to make sure that such compensation is made in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner.The Payment Technician is responsible for processing payments for Employment Networks (ENs) who work with the Social Security Ticket to Work Program. The successful candidate will provide instructions to ENs about their payments and distribution. He/She will provide information to ENs with professionalism, precision, and appropriate sense of urgency. In addition, he or she will work closely with the Sr. Payment Specialists to ensure all deliverables are accomplished. The ideal candidate for this position will be extremely creative, proactive, energetic, and comfortable working with others.Job Description

Responsible for Data Entry and analysis

Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information

Professionally respond to customer emails

Respond to EN Payment inquiries regarding status of payments, clarification of policy and assist processing EN Payments

Evaluate and review all requested reimbursements and cost by ENs and SVRAs to ensure compensation is made in a timely, accurate and efficient manner

Assists SSA in creating automated payments utilizing their iTOPSS system

Adhere to performance requirements

Provide EN’s with updates ensuring compliance with timeline expectations

Making the ENs aware of other services and actions that may lead to greater success

Keeping up on trends, changes, and competitor actions that might affect payments

Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societiesProvides planning and organizational support to various projects or programs.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or GED - BS or BA preferred

Data Entry experience

Professional email correspondence experience

Experience working with Federal program preferred

Project Management experience preferred
