Description Robert Half is collaborating with an expanding company in the Construction/Contractor industry to fill the position of a Payroll Clerk to support the daily functions of the payroll department. The opportunity will be located in the Honolulu, Hawaii region. This advanced position is best suited for a self-starter looking to further their career and work with an industry leader. The dynamic company has an open position for a skilled candidate capable of effectively communicating with both the internal team and outside customers to join their fast-growing team. The Payroll Clerk will be required to perform data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. The selected Payroll Clerk candidate would be employed on a short-term contract / temporary to hire basis. Contact employees via email and phone to obtain timesheet approvals
Be the main point of instruction/training contact to employees regarding payroll-related best practices
Conduct clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc.
Run and build custom reports
Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system
Administer and distribute reports as instructed
Compile data into spreadsheets and the payroll system
Requirements - Accurate, swift, data entry abilities
Knowledgeable in Payroll software
Strong communication and social skills
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
1+ years of previous payroll experience
Strong attention to detail
Solid understanding of Employee Timesheets
Foundational knowledge in data entry
Command of payroll
Sage 300 experience
Enthusiasm when it comes to learning new systems and ideas
