We’re seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Baker to join our catering team. In this role, you’ll prepare and decorate a variety of baked goods while ensuring consistency, quality, and creativity. The ideal candidate has proven baking experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Prepares meal ingredients as directed by the head chef, sous chef, or other designated staff.
Prepares fresh produce by peeling, cutting, and portioning.
Prepares meat by trimming, cutting, and portioning.
Prepares dishes under general supervision.
Mixes or prepares condiments, dressings, and sauces.
Maintains compliance with applicable health, safety, food handling, and hygiene codes and standards.
Assists with unloading, inspection, and storage of raw ingredients and supplies.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Basic understanding of or the ability to learn basic sanitation and regulations for workplace safety.
Basic understanding of or the ability to learn food handling techniques, preparation, and cooking procedures.
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
Ability to work well as part of a team.
Ability to maintain personal hygiene.
Team spirit
Availability to work in shifts 2:00am to 10:00am or 8:00am to 4:00pm, including evenings and weekends
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or equivalent;
Must be at least eighteen years old;
Must possess or successfully complete safe food handling course prior to first day;
Current negative TB test result.
Work experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook or similar role is a plus
