our community. Common Ground is home to a regenerative agroforest, events venue and future 140

seat restaurant (construction beginning winter, 2025). We offer a dynamic start-up environment and

the opportunity to join our company in the early stage as we scale operations on Kauai and beyond.

About the Position

Common Ground Kauai is seeking to hire an experienced Food and Beverage Manager to oversee

hospitality operations on our 63 acres property in Kilauea. Duties include managing the day-to-day

operations for our farm tours and lei workshops, working with the Common Ground Events Manager

to oversee hospitality operations for private venue rentals and Common Ground produced events

including purchasing supplies, training and supervising staff, maintaining health and safety standards,

and implementing strategies to maximize sales and profitability. The F&B Manager will report to

Common Ground’s Director of Food Systems and will work closely with the culinary team, Events

Manager and Director of Sales and Marketing.

Responsibilities

 Lead the Common Ground F&B team by attracting, recruiting, training and appraising talented

personnel

 Ensure all F&B operations are aligned with company values and adhere to levels of quality and

excellence.

 Manage all F&B and day-to-day operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest

standards

 Preserve excellent levels of internal and external customer service

 Purchase goods and work with culinary team to continuously make necessary Improvements

and realize efficiencies

 Identify customers needs and respond proactively to all of their concerns

 Establish targets, KPI’s, schedules, policies and procedures

 Provide a two way communication and nurture an ownership environment with emphasis on

motivation and teamwork

 Comply with all health and safety regulations

 Report to management regarding sales results and productivity

Qualifications

 Proven food and beverage management experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or fine dining

establishment.

 Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, MAC iOS, restaurant

management software, POS)

 Mastery in delegating multiple tasks

 Communication and leadership skills

 Up to date with food and beverage trends and best practices

 Ability to manage personnel and meet financial targets

 Guest-oriented and service-minded

 At least five years of experience in a similar role

Compensation & Benefits

The position is full time with a salary range of $85,000 - $90,000 per year based on experience and

skill level. Common Ground offers a comprehensive benefits and PTO package with full health

coverage, dental, vision, and 401K and 18 days of paid time off per year.
