Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Food Truck Manager to oversee operations at a new food truck within a popular food truck park in Waikiki. With our expected opening in mid-November, there will be plenty of time to perfect recipes and plan for a successful launch. The manager will handle day-to-day management, including cooking, staffing, menu development, social media, and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Cooking & Serving: Prepare and cook food, and serve customers with a friendly, positive attitude.
Staff Management: Hire, train, and manage 1-2 staff members. Create weekly schedules to ensure optimal coverage during operating hours.
Recipe Development: Work on finalizing and creating innovative recipes in the time leading up to the opening to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
Inventory & Restocking: Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and restock ingredients and equipment as necessary.
Shopping & Restocking: Occasionally run to local stores for supplies to ensure smooth operation.
Weekly Planning: Plan and organize operations for the week ahead, including inventory, promotions, and staffing needs.
Customer Service: Ensure that customers are satisfied with their experience by providing excellent food and service.
Social Media Management: Create and manage social media accounts to engage with the community, promote the food truck, and share updates.
Compliance: Ensure the food truck complies with local health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
Proven experience in cooking and managing food trucks or restaurants.
Ability to create schedules, manage staff, and lead a team.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Creativity in menu development and a passion for food.
Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
Experience in social media management and content creation.
