Responsibilities
Manage and execute daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
Supervise and train kitchen staff, including interviewing potential hires and providing ongoing coaching.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen.
Monitor inventory levels and manage food production to minimize waste while ensuring quality.
Handle cash transactions accurately and oversee cash handling procedures.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy dining periods.
Develop menus that reflect current trends while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
Experience
Proven experience in a kitchen management role within the food service or casual dining industry.
Strong cooking skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
Experience in cash handling and financial management within a restaurant setting is preferred.
Knowledge of bartending or coffee preparation is a plus but not required.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
