We’re looking for a dedicated Kitchen Manager to join our team and help lead a positive, organized, and creative kitchen environment.
Position Overview
The Kitchen Manager oversees the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency in every plate that leaves the line. This position plays a key role in managing staff, maintaining inventory, and upholding food safety and cleanliness standards while working closely with ownership and front-of-house management.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily kitchen operations and lead a team of cooks, preps, and dishwashers
Ensure all menu items meet quality, consistency, and presentation standards
Manage food inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships
Monitor food and labor costs to maintain profitability
Uphold sanitation, safety, and cleanliness standards according to DOH regulations
Train, schedule, and motivate kitchen staff to perform at their best
Collaborate with ownership on menu specials, recipes, and seasonal dishes
Maintain and troubleshoot kitchen equipment and supplies as needed
Foster a positive and respectful team culture in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
4+ years of kitchen leadership experience (Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager level preferred)
Strong knowledge of food safety, cost control, and kitchen operations
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Passion for food, teamwork, and community
