We are a popular fast-casual breakfast restaurant in Princeville on the North Shore of Kauai, looking for a full-time Kitchen Manager/Head Cook OR Head Chef to join our team!

Position Overview:

As our Kitchen Manager/Head Cook, you will play a key role in both managing the kitchen operations and preparing quick, fresh, and flavorful breakfast dishes. You’ll work closely with our team to ensure a smooth operation and uphold the highest standards of quality, cleanliness, and safety in the kitchen.

Head Chef position is distinguished by increased oversight of menu development and conceptualization, costings, leadership skills and previous experience. Please indicate in resume/application which position more closely aligns with your intention and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring proper training, scheduling, and performance.

Lead by example, maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen.

Prepare breakfast items with precision and speed, ensuring consistency and quality.

Oversee inventory and ordering of kitchen supplies and ingredients.

Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met at all times.

Work closely with counter staff to ensure smooth communication and timely service.

Troubleshoot and solve problems that may arise during shifts to maintain smooth operations.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in kitchen management and cooking, preferably in a fast-paced breakfast or fast casual dining.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Ability to work under pressure and keep calm during busy shifts.

Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.

A passion for breakfast cuisine and a keen eye for detail.

Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

A positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset!

Benefits:

Competitive pay based on experience, starting at $25 hourly base + $10 an hour average tips = $35 per hour.
