Job Summary:This role is a supervisory role of the shift. You will be required to perform all functions of each position in the front of house.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome guests as they enter the restaurant.
Oversee and coordinate all aspects of restaurant operations during your shift.
Delegate tasks to staff and monitor their performance.
Provide guidance and support to team members, addressing any issues that arise.
Train, mentor, and support staff in their roles, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed.
Manage the seating process in a timely and efficient manner.
Mix and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits.
Follow recipes and ensure consistent drink quality.
Evaluate customer needs and make drink recommendations.
Provide guests with menus, answer questions about the menu, and recommend menu items and specials, explaining the unique concept and ingredients.
Take and process guests orders accurately and efficiently, including special requests and dietary needs.
Serve food and beverages in a timely manner, ensuring proper presentation and temperature.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the host stand and dining areas.
Work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure a smooth flow of service.
Ensure all guests feel valued, appreciated, and well taken care of during their visit.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding service and food safety.
Occasionally assist with back-end office duties such as schedules, P&L input, sales drop (cash deposits at end of night, documentation with assistance from Assistant Manager or General Manager, and opening/closing duties.
Qualifications:
Strong communication skills and a friendly, positive attitude.
Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and maintain focus in a busy environment.
Must be able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds.
Must have reliable transportation.
