Busser/Dishwasher
The Red Eye Snack Shack is looking for an energetic team member to assist the server in bussing and re-setting tables, serving drinks and washing dishes along the shift. During downtime you may also assist the Chef in small-prep and helping to grab items. You must be able to lift at least 20 lbs. Starting Pay is $16-$18 DOE plus Tips
Server
The Red Eye Snack Shack needs servers who understand the importance of making our customers feel welcomed and at home. Our vibe is a laid-back, family style restaurant. When customers enter our establishment, we want them to get a taste of coming to your own Aunty's house. Each table has games for everyone to play while they wait for their food. A space of authentic aloha through service and food. Our food is innovative, we call it a local fusion. Bringing back nostalgic food items made in big local portions with awesome flavors. The servers job is to focus on the customer. We will offer clients some of our Islands Best Banana Bread made with Pineapple Butter for Free for birthdays or anniversaries. WE also want to know their feedback malihini and kamaaina. We do a Local Thursday Menu for lcoals starting at $10 and also give kama'aina 10% off no matter what island they are from. Learning the menu is probably the most difficult part but we have training manuals for that. You will also be in charge making coffee and smoothies for your customers. The busser can assist with anything if needed. Server pay starts at $15 plus all tips. You only tip out your busser 20% minimum. You keep all tips. The Owner and Cooks never ask for tips.
Cook Position
The Cook position is not normal. The prep cook is pretty much doing all your flavors and cooking. The cooks job is to plate the food. The cooking portion may be to make eggs, fried rice, gravy, pancakes, etc. There will be either the busser or assistant cook to help as needed. Organization and communication is key to this position since your running multiple stations in one station. As we grow, we would like to separate stations for smoother transitions. Eventually we are looking to open a food truck next year. We are looking for people who are excited to be part of a growing company. This job is DOE (Depends on Experience). It is competitive pay. We will also hire newer cooks who are energetic and willing to learn starting at $18/hour.
