Love to work outdoors? Hirata & Associates, Inc., a local geotechnical engineering firm is interested in interviewing candidates for potential employment as a full-time Driller’s Assistant on Oahu, with frequent neighbor island work. Duties include performing various tasks in support of geotechnical subsurface explorations including (but not limited to), assisting the driller (using teamwork) in drilling operations and other responsibilities such as maintaining safety at the shop and jobsite. Responsibilities also include, upkeep and maintenance of tools, equipment, trucks, drill rigs, and various other duties.
Requirements:
Must have strong desire to learn.
Must be able to work well with others as a team. (3-person drill crew)
Must have a valid Driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work.
CDL license or willingness to obtain CDL.
Able to lift and carry 75 lbs.
Able to travel to neighbor islands, Guam, and Pacific Basin, as needed.
Good verbal communication skill
Ability to obtain government security clearances and certifications.
